America: Preparing for the Worst and Hoping for the Best

I would like to pass on suggestions to voters with 2010 congressional elections around the corner. I know, it’s barely Thanksgiving Day 2009, but best to think ahead to allow time to investigate candidates, especially before they use the mainstream media as their propaganda media soap boxes and instruments of character assassination and BS diatribe on paid-for-political announcements.
Voters should primarily achieve the mindset to clean out Congress – Democrat and Republicans who are not for limited government, establishing policy to reform America’s government back to a republic instead of a nanny state, and determined to put America and its people’s interests above politics and elections (which, if they perform their duty will take care of itself for reelection).
When election time comes, don’t let the media choose the candidate of choice for you. Don’t pay attention to paid-for TV ads that are only soap box rhetoric to make the opponent look like a crook (although he/she may be), et cetera. Remember that voting is important, not just showing up to vote, but voting responsibly. Your candidate, if elected, will have power along with other members of the legislative body to have an impact upon your personal life. You are delegating power of the people to individuals who have opted to spend their time serving the public – local, state and nationally.

Look at voting records and see if they match the candidate’s campaign speeches. And don’t let political party elite choose primary candidates for the primary election. The primary election is often overlooked by voters, but it is important because it is the choosing of the final pick from the traditional parties of the DNC and GOP. Of course, it doesn’t mean that Americans must choose between those two political entities for a vote; however, each state has rules for independent and third-party candidates. Personally, I would like to see more candidates who have some college/university background in political science rather than law. The past record of lawyers in Congress has not been up to standards, to say the least. This is nothing new, Thomas Jefferson said of lawyers in Congress:
If the present Congress errs in too much talking, how can it be otherwise in a body to which the people send one hundred and fifty lawyers, whose trade it is to question everything, yield nothing, and talk by the hour?
Election rules should be examined because it is part of the problem in the scope of the people’s choice. In the past candidates were chosen from the main parties on a best of the worst scenario, but as one can see that is not acceptable.
What did they actually do versus what was promised. Alan Keyes hasn’t held an elected office and only has experience as an ambassador. Contrary to what the media will tell the public, this doesn’t mean the candidate is not a good choice based upon experience. However, it is best that a person has some experience at some level, like governor or member of Congress or state assembly before being a viable pick for the office of the President of the United States. Be fair, often legislatures will work hard to do the right thing but are stopped by whoever or whatever is the majority. Just having some background in a leadership position in the private sector should qualify a candidate if they have educated themselves or studied at an academic institution in some capacity.
Does the candidate truly believe that true change in American government must occur – and if so, what are the details? The American voter did not get the details of the change promoted by B. Obama and we can see the result.
Contrary what the Democratic Party and their minions say – association does count, especially in politics and educational institution administrations, et cetera. Political party is not really a concern, although I doubt you will find a suitable candidate within the established socialism of the DNC, as well as weak leadership in the GOP. If possible, seek out independents (and there is the conundrum) – difficult because of the high cost of running a campaign. The system has worked against itself and the principles of America’s founding.
Take a good at political roguesAmerican Conservative Party or the Constitution Party that has left the GOP mainstream. The Libertarian Party may have good choice candidates, but they are split up between those that seek liberty and freedom reformation and those who are just plainly critical of any government at all. I don’t want to use the misused word radical here, but you get the meaning. Some libertarians (and others) have turned to actually contemplation overthrowing government or the least, state secession ideology. Those being final choices of American patriots who seek a reformed government; the plan should be just to remove the garbage from Congress and the designer from the White House and this time choose candidates By the People and For the People and not those chosen from the popularity contests that elections have become and the manipulating media.
Knowledge is power, and that power is the weapon of choice to reform America – using the ability to vote as ammunition.
The sociocrats haven’t used guns, except in the case of the Whiskey Rebellion, Kent University, abduction of a boy fleeing from Cuba [Gonzales], Waco and the Idaho incident), they have used more devious methods tried methods of socialist-communist infiltration endeavors. As Jim Simpson wrote at American Thinker:
The real goal of “health care” legislation, the real goal of “cap-and-trade,” and the real goal of the “stimulus” is to rip the guts out of our private economy and transfer wide swaths of it over to the government to control. Do not be deluded by the propaganda. These initiatives are vehicles for change. They are not goals in and of themselves except in their ability to deliver power. They and will make matters much worse, for that is their design.
This time, in addition to overwhelming the government with demands for services, Obama and the Democrats are overwhelming political opposition to their plans with a flood of apocalyptic legislation. Their ultimate goal is to leave us so discouraged, demoralized, and exhausted that we throw our hands up in defeat. As Barney Frank said, “the middle class will be too distracted to fight.”
These people are our enemies. They don’t use guns, yet, but they are just as dangerous, determined, and duplicitous as the communists we faced in the Cold War, KoreaVietnam, and bush wars across the globe, and the Nazis we faced in World War II. …
Not only are their policies unconstitutional, but deliberately so — the goal being to make the Constitution irrelevant. Their spending is off the charts and will drive us into hyperinflation, but it could be rescinded, had we the political power. These policies are toxic, but they could be stopped and reversed, had we the political power. Their ideologies are poisonous, but they could be exposed for what they are, with long jail sentences as an object lesson, had we the political power.
Every single citizen who cares about this country should be spending every minute of his or her spare time lobbying, organizing, writing, and planning. Fight every initiative they launch. It is all destructive. If we are to root out this evil, it is critical that in 2010 we elect competent, principled leaders willing to defend our Constitution and our country. Otherwise, the malevolent cabal that occupies the government today will become too entrenched.
After that, all bets are off.
Let American Patriots use their logic and common sense to resolve to make the necessary changes required, not the socialist change of Barack H. Obama and associates. Not self-centered UtopianNew World OrderNorth American Union ideologist like George W. Bush; the politics as usual government of William J. Clinton, or the globalization big spender New World Order advocates (as successors) George H. Bush– but true statesmen and stateswomen. Successive term limit was initiated for the executive office, it is long overdue that the same be applied to Congress – and get rid of the idea that they receive retirement funds for their time in elected office. They key word here is elective office – they are not employees of some corporation, although often they treat our government as such. And, remember this, if you hear the rhetoric that government creates jobs: they don’t, in the private sector, but do in government, which affords it to get bigger; take that candidate off your checklist. Government destroys private sector jobs and can only create employment by common sense legislation, less intrusion and a fair tax program. Private sector is what does best at stimulating economy and keeping it on a fairly level course. Corruption got us to where we are in this economic crisis and the Democrats are taking full advantage of it. Bill Clinton experienced what had been created in the Reagan years, and greed in corporate activities and investment entities helped a great deal because government didn’t enforce the necessary laws in place to keep business above-board and protection of consumers and the regular folk investors. The 1990s was a feeding frenzy like the 1890s, 1920s and the the 1990s, continued overspending in government has resulted in huge debt and further encroachment upon state rights and individual liberties. We are in an economic crisis, but a constitutional crisis as well.
David Horowitz, a reformed Marxist and former member of the Democratic Party has a pulse on the situation at Discover the Networks:
The strategy of forcing political change through orchestrated crisis. The “Cloward-Piven Strategy” seeks to hasten the fall of capitalism by overloading the government bureaucracy with a flood of impossible demands, thus pushing society into crisis and economic collapse.
Now that’s a conspiracy for you.
And Friedrich Hayek stated:
The curious task of economics is to demonstrate to men how little they really know about what they imagine they can design.
The stimulus was a farce, As Monty Pelerin pointed out at American Thinker:
The reason that Obamanomics will not and cannot work is because an economy cannot be managed from the top. Economics is a bottom-up process that depends upon individual incentives. Critical incentives have been diminished or destroyed by recent economic policies. Fear, uncertainty, threats, tax increases, penalties, and violations of the rule of law are but some of the conditions anathema to entrepreneurs, small business, and large business. Businesses will not hire, invest, or expand in a climate of disincentives. No commands from on high can force economic activity. That was a lesson that should have been learned from Eastern Europe and the former USSR.
And surprisingly from the Huffington Post a politically left advocate:
American small businesses are responsible for over 97 percent of all exported goods and generate the majority of innovations that come from the United States. Not one dollar of the $2.3 trillion in economic stimulus funds will go to the 27 million small businesses where most Americans work. One hundred percent of the stimulus bill funds not destined for states will go to the top 1 percent of U.S. firms. The firms in that top 1 percent have not created one net new job in America since 1977.
Gloomily, Mr. Pelerin wrote to sum it up:
It is unlikely that the Obama administration will reverse course and put in place the structure necessary to foster a recovery.
A recent post at NewsLine 9Wisconsin:
The official start of the gun-deer season is this weekend. But the hunt for ammo may come before deer. Sporting good stores are reporting shortages. Officials blame it on fear President Barack Obama and the Democratic-controlled Congress will pass antigun legislation, made hunters grab up ammo at record rates earlier this year. … Monsoor’s Sport Shop store says they are also experience a shortage of some brands, and have seen prices increase as well.
There are other indications that the SAR (Second American Revolution), New Revolution and folks preparing for an economic collapse has been brewing since 2006 – when the Democrats took over Congress and the GW Bush administration was failing in preserving the Constitution and correctly attending to the economic problems.
J. D. Longstreet, Save America Now and American Conservative Party advocate, wrote in Racing Toward Revolution? …
There is a strong undercurrent of anger just beneath the surface of American society these days. It is a “teeth-grinding” anger. It is hot and wrathful while, at the same time, cold and calculating. In short — it is in a state of “becoming”. Becoming what? It is becoming, I am very afraid, a spirit of revolution. To anyone looking objectively at the USA today, it is clear — this country cannot survive as she is today. That is the reality. … What happened? Socialism happened. … The FDR Administration first exposed America to the disease of socialism. With The Obama Regime America has advanced to stage four, or terminal, condition. In short: America is dying. …
Until the congressional elections of 2006 the American people had a connection, tenuous though it was, to their government. After the election and the socialist tendencies of the new congress became apparent, many Americans recoiled in horror at what they and their fellow Americans had created. … With the election of Obama, in 2008, America took a giant leap into socialism and, in doing so, in my opinion, sealed her fate. The representative republic of America doomed herself. We are just beginning to feel the effects of the death throws of the greatest nation ever to have graced this globe. The near collapse of the American economy did not “just happen.” I am convinced our near economic collapse was planned and the near crash was executed according to that plan. … What of the Revolution? It will not be likened to the revolution, which bought us our freedom. THIS revolution will be different for Americans. …
America must be healed by a complete take-over of the dying government by conservatives in 2010 and 2012, or, Americans must agree to split the states into two separate countries — one conservative and the other socialist. To remain as a single country means the death of all 50 states. That is not acceptable. Conservatives agree that you amputate that portion of the body with national gangrene… socialism… in order to save that portion of the country that is healthy. It is my contention that the break-up of America will follow, to some degree, the break-up of the 1860’s. … Some states, such as Texas, may decide to become a Republic, or in Texas‘ case simply revert back to being a republic, a country unto herself.
The states on the left coast and the states on the northeastern coast will, of course, be the die-hard socialist states and will have to figure out their own survival. As their money dries up, the northeastern states may well apply to Canada for acceptance into the Canada. The states on the western coast will probably do the same, but, I expect they will apply to China to sponsor them as client states. …
Just a few questions remain. Are we being set up for “Global Governance” — for a “One World Government?” Was America‘s death premeditated? Was it murder? I am convinced there is a one word answer to all those questions… YES! For those who would rule the earth and all upon it, America was an obstacle. That obstacle will soon be gone. What then?
This is why more Americans are looking to self-sufficient living, storing food and ammunition in preparation for something they hope will not happen, and live more economically free from the grips of the energy power entities and government parasites; hoping all the while that our nation doesn’t become just an entry in a world history book.
Our nation was founded during the Age of Enlightenment (18th and 19th century), let this be the beginning of the repeat of the historical Age of Reformation endeavoring to return to an New Age of Enlightenment. This movement, the desire to return government back in the hands of the people is being instituted in Europe as well. There are patriots in other places besides America. The world doesn’t need a central government or a New World Order, it needs to realize that people, despite culture and language differences have the same basic needs of food, clothing and shelter, as well as the desire to live free with the liberty of freedom of choice in pursuing their goals in life and the pursuit of happiness. The United Nations should be an exclusive world body where only democratic republican states need apply. It would provide the incentive of rogue and communist nations to either get on board or be left out in global matters as well as world trade opportunities. It is preposterous to allow a world body organization as the UN where human rights violators have representatives sitting in the council for human rights, as a prime example.
Thomas Jefferson and other Americans realized there was an unwritten code for America when it assumed itself as a role model of democracy that we could not, we should not, become a nation of isolationism, but neither should our nation become a seeker of colonies and expansionism. National sovereignty is revered here and must be respected everywhere. If world citizens are tired of the status quo as Americans are here, then they must self educate themselves and learn from past mistakes seeking a republican form of government and enlighten the future of their nations in their children who are the future of any nation.
Nations should be pursuing science (true science) instead of warring against each other. If the future of humanity is to be envisioned we can look up into the night sky and see the wonders of the universe waiting for human discovery and colonization. Science fiction tales and films are sometimes a macroscopic view of the future of humanity. Let it be the the optimistic future envisioned by the likes of Asimov [Three Laws of Robotics] and not the pessimistic view of Orwell. [Orwellian]
Totalitarianism [totalitarian democracy] and tyranny should be something read about in history books or political science studies in the 21st century – let us endeavor to unit to make it so. Once freedom and liberty is attained it must be guarded well from those wittingly or unwittingly that would destroy its framework.
