Most Americans know of the word militia because it is used in the Second Amendment, but what does this latest news frenzy about? Are American militia organizations really terrorists? Most of those reporting a negative story are media supporting the political left calling those involved angry right wingers. You know, like anyone who disagrees with President Obama or disagrees with those operating what used to be the people’s government is anti-government.
Citizens protesting at organized and peaceful marches on Washington and elsewhere in America against tax policies and other grievances are annoying troublemakers, an unruly mob; but those that depicted George W. Bush
as a Nazi
and held rallies against the Iraq War
(but not Afghanistan War), not so peacefully, and still others on the Internet claim that the GW Bush administration staged or rather purposely caused 9/11, so on and so on – one being the social misfit son of Martin Sheen
and West Wing
star] – Charlie Sheen.
But what is a militia? Are they really terrorist groups?

Most of these militia groups were around when GW Bush was president and Homeland Security kept watch on them as that is their job, which means it is not because of President Obama that this has surfaced; however, there has been an increased activity because of Obama and associates in Congress and their anti-firearm movement. All of this and the mainstream media hasn’t concerned themselves with. Why? Simply because the mainstream media guides their journalism based upon their personal political ideology instead of conducting journalism on the basis of accurate news reporting and fair editorials.

Are all militia groups dangerous or preparing for planned attacks upon government authorities?
Several of these organizations believe they are preparing for the imminent danger caused by infiltration of an underground movement to undermine the American government system and thus regain land they claim to be their ancestors, a place from Mexican mythology called Aztlan

Others also believe that the Homeland Security hasn’t performed their job and that Islamic Fascist underground organizations are gaining strength; and still others are just preparing for a possible government/economic collapse that will be a scene of turmoil and chaos. And there are those that are clearly organized on the basis of racial hatred and the twisted ideology passed down from the concept of Aryan superiority, like the old established infamous KKK organization, along with the racism of La Raza
The Second Amendment to the Constitution of the United States:
A well-regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a Free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.
The Supreme Court has handled several cases in argument over the meaning of that short paragraph. Before the Democratic Party took control as majority in Congress and after their 2006 victory there has been a congressional assault against the Second Amendment in activism against firearms designated as assault weapons, a term established by the German army of World War II when the German arms manufactures came up with an infantry weapon designed with a selective switch from semi-automatic to automatic. However, civilian firearms are only allowed to have semi-automatic capabilities and not automatic, machinegun-type weapons by an act of Congress and signed by a president and sanctioned by the Supreme Court.
Should Homeland Security be paranoid about any organization resembling a militia and should American citizens be concerned?

made a video series about a Second American Revolution that does not insinuate or condone open rebellion against the government of the United States, but rather it is against policies that have undermined the Constitution of the United States and against those members of government that undermine the freedom and liberty of American citizens and against their policy of overspending and overtaxation – all to be fought against through the use of voting rights and letters of grievance to those elected officials in office.
But then there are those groups producing videos that are clearly not in mind to use the system processing or the intellectual approach and blindly think that open rebellion is glorious, most emanating the Nazi era propaganda frenzy that led a nation to shame and destruction. The militia organizations that promote racism and violence are giving groups and organizations who advocate citizen-militia organized preparedness against entities or individuals or national disaster or invasion that might destroy the framework of the nation of America that they love and respect. Just as there are good and bad politicians in the federal government, so there are militia groups and organizations that are patriots and others are anarchists. The political groups that chastise Americans for those that advocate punishment against all Moslems for the crimes of those following Islamic Fascism are, at the same time, doing the same thing concerning militia who feel they must prepare for the worst, all the while hoping it won’t happen. It is like a US military person – training constantly for something that he/she hopes won’t happen, but prepared to take action if it does.
The American political left cannot cry foul and show their bias by being against entities that existed when GW Bush was in office and now that one of their own resides in the White House, it suddenly is a major crisis. The question to them is where was their concern then?
The Second American Revolution, the concept of it, was originated before Mr. Obama took office as President of the United States. In that origin it was conceived under the principles of waking up American citizens to the fact that we are not only having an economical crisis, but a constitutional crisis that has been festering since the days of FDR – Barack Obama didn’t create the situation, he and his associates only escalated the problem. True SAR followers are not for dissolving our government, but reforming it. Their beef is against those who were elected to operate our government, who are supposed to protect and adhere to the Constitution of the United States, like the oath they took when taking their particular office. Bob Basso and others who believe the same thing and are proud of our American heritage, a legacy of American Patriots who won a revolution to create our nation should not be considered a threat to the American people and a physical threat to our government.
The angry mob, as the mainstream media and politicians guilty of desecrating the republican form of government and its Constitution are those that use to be called the silent majority. They, We the People, are no longer silent – and now we are the ones depicted as extremists and insulted with terms or allusions of terrorist intent.

I have viewed videos depicting advocates for a new civil war and other aggressive-threat videos, but that is something we cannot and should not repeat. It nearly destroyed our nation and pitted, sometimes literally, brother against brother. Those that would want or think they want such a thing are misled by some fantasy established in their minds. Grassroot Americans want reform – not chaos. We, the true patriots, want our rights kept and maintained to defend ourselves when authorities are not available to do so, and at the same time want our government to reform to philosophy and codes that were established 233 years ago. The SAR represents the desire to insist that the media return to its days of principles and standards in conducting the important mission of informing the people, any militia phase of it is strictically in the sense of a citizens’ constitutional militia.
Reformation is the agenda. Knowledge is our power. Patriotism is our incentive. So why would We the People want to dissolve or destroy the very entity that is the focus of our endeavor to reform and protect? It is the individuals that American Patriots are at war with – those individuals who have reversed the role of government making the people the servants to government.
From the days of early America, when Americans were subjects and loyal to the King of England, but soon got weary of the monarchy’s trampling of the right of representation – Americans on the whole have kept the use of arms as the last resort. If those in our society are changing from that point of view, then We the People need to correct that situation immediately. It means we have raised a generation that is ignorant of why the first Americans made the painful decision to rise up and secure our freedom and liberties by force. The Declaration of Independence occurred after almost ten years of presenting grievances to the government authorities they held allegiance to as part of Mother England. Even among the Patriots there was disagreement on how far to go in the course of action and for most, it was in reluctance that the American Revolution occurred.
This is how American patriots should handle this so-called Second American Revolution (SAR) and in the context of demonstrating the resolve to reform our government by reforming our society, and that can best be enacted by standing for principles, rights and liberties and bringing back morals and values that successfully accomplished the unique event that established our nation, and unique it was because it can never be recreated with the same results.
Therefore, like the Constitution, we must incorporate those basic principles and laws to the impending situation – and that attests to the wonder of how the US Constitution works. It is flexible, but not to the point of changing it. It was written over 200 years ago, but it remains solid, still effective in a changing world of invention, technology and human endeavors. It is not, as George W. Bush remarked in anger:
…just a piece of goddamned paper.
It is not a living document
so flexible to be changed to whatever political climate and desire those that operate our government decide upon.
It is not, as Bill Clinton once stated, a document that required to be changed with the changing times or the whim of congressional members and the President of the United States in their endeavor to disobey its established laws – constitutional or not.
It is a national document of law and state governments must comply; yet the state governments are free to embellish upon it in accordance with circumstances peculiar to their region of authority – but not alter or ignore the Bill of Rights, like they have with the Second Amendment.
The media is protected, along with individual citizens, the right of free speech under the First Amendment; however, they do not have the right to alter the truth or ignore the facts. The media does not have the right to choose what candidates are qualified to participate in campaigns for elected office. Their job is to inform the people to make them better citizens through awareness and knowledge.
Citizens have the responsibility of protecting our Constitution and its Bill of Rights by keeping watch over those elected to operate our government. Citizens have the responsibility to be educated and informed and vote responsibly. They must no longer be the sheeple.
Citizens have the responsibility to accept that with freedom of choice requires acceptance of the results, good or bad. Government cannot make better decisions about personal lives because it views the collective (as it should in respect to the nation) and not the individual requirements.
Citizens and society have the responsibility of maintaining the concepts of virtue and good character, as well as the governing of their own lives and keeping the family unit strong – not the government.
These are some of the concepts of the SAR and the gist of seeking reformation – government and society. The former cannot reform without the latter reforming itself.
I provide the importance and stand by in the conviction of having law abiding citizens armed and even groups calling themselves the militia in the form of defense, not aggression; in the form of preparation, not incitement to engage in physical violence and anarchy. History shows us how important this is. Socialism, which transformed into communism, and all manners of tyranny, could not have been successful without removing the ability of defense of the people, which in turn allowed the government power to dissolve the rights of free speech and so on.
The Japanese Imperial government had originally planned an invasion of the United States in conjunction with the Pearl Harbor attack, not unlike the Normandy Beach invasion in 1944, but changed their minds because they knew that too many American civilians were armed and it would multiply the number to fight against combined with American security forces.
This is the reason why when putting together the Bill of Rights for the citizens of the United States, the Second Amendment was conceived and instituted.
Thomas Jefferson wrote:
For a people who are free, and who mean to remain so, a well-organized and armed militia is their best security.
And James Madison:
A well regulated militia; composed of the body of the people, trained in arms, is the best most natural defense of a free country.
Mr. Madison’s idea (and others) led to the development of the National and State Guard system we see today.
Those citizens who decide to privately maintain a form of militia are exercising their rights; however, in exercising any right there is also the responsibility of maintaining honor, integrity and loyalty to the American people and those operating our government by constitutional law. No sane or moral person would choose to do otherwise.
…whenever the Legislators endeavour to take away, and destroy the Property of the People, or to reduce them to Slavery under Arbitrary Power, they put themselves into a state of War with the People, who are thereupon absolved from any father Obedience, and are left to the common refuge which God hath provided for all men against force and violence. … Power then devolves to the People, who have a Right to resume their original Liberty, and, by the Establishment of a new Legislative, such as they shall think fit, provide for their own Safety and Security, which is the end for which they are in Society.
Those entities that identify themselves as militia and even referring to themselves as patriots who base their actions upon racism and desire to initiate physical aggression for violence sake can only be deemed as a threat to the United States government and its law abiding people. Their agenda and ideology is not based upon a common defense, but instead just another form of anarchy and tyranny.
To those types of militia, as well as those Americans who think family values and social-individual morality are not important, I quote from the great historical book of 1964, The Fall of the Roman Empire
A great civilization is not conquered from without until it has destroyed itself from within.
Let the fate of the Roman Empire and its vanished republic, before emperors overpowered the Senate, be a lesson of history to Americans.
We must let society attend to eradicating extremism, unless an entity or individual commits a crime then it is the responsibility of our government to attend to the matter, and thus what to do about the notable rising in number of organized militia. In this way, militia with noble and patriotic intentions be left to their endeavors and let those who are not be ostracized and punished if they commit an unlawful act upon the people and the people’s government.
Our society is what we make it. We can shape our institutions. Physical and human characteristics limit the alternatives available to us. But none prevents us, if we will, from building a society that relies primarily on voluntary cooperation to organize both economic and other activity, a society that preserves and expands human freedom, that keeps government in its place, keeping it our servant and not letting it become our master. American militia groups and organizations should not be automatically regarded as terrorists or extremists in wrongful comparison with Islamic Fascists, White Supremists and the Reconquista; indeed, they are the very defense among us against those misguided and evil-minded souls.

. The militia is only a threat when it is a threat against the People and only against the government if it is the People’s government and not selected individuals by the political elite who have gained power.

The militia, in the sense of those whose intent is neither honorable or patriotic, whose purpose is to incite aggression and trade one tyrant for another should not be feared as much as what our government has become and what those operating it intend to do. Indeed, the traditional militia whose history dates back to the so-called Minute Man is to be supported in case they are needed from conflagration from within and the element of last stand against a foreign invasion. The true militia should only be feared by a corrupt and unconstitutional government that no longer is servant to the people and the people no longer being its master.
So, American patriots and patriots of all free nations, we must exercise our will and true purpose of reinstituting a republic as to what it was conceived for and return the power of government back into the hands of the people, a society, in which they have the responsibility to maintain it by retaining knowledge through the principles of classic education, keeping the golden rule and returning to the nucleus of family as the nucleus of our nation’s virtues and morality. It may not be the perfect system, but it is the best system that humans have ever devised – and ever will.
