Campaign Fund Raising Dinner – Hollywood Style

Hollywood Reporter

I am sure that by now you have read about or heard of the George Clooney Fundraiser Dinner for Barack Obama with Hollyweird socialists and friends of Clooney has increased campaign funding for the “stealth socialist” president. Dinner tickets cost $40,000.

The extravaganza was held at Clooney’s home, which he bought from Stevie Nicks twenty years ago in the hillside of Los Angeles that features six bedrooms and six bathrooms, a wine cellar, and a popcorn machine.
President Obama arrived with a 30-motorcycle escort, the Secret Service, helicopters, bomb sniffing dogs, and a counter-terrorism unit as company. Guests arrived in black limos. Guests included Barbara Streisand (ultimate Hollywood socialist), Robert Downey Jr., Tobey Maguire, Eddie Murphy, Rob Reiner, Herb Albert, Billy Crystal, and Salma Hayek to name a few. Downey has claimed to be a Republican – why was he there?
Do Republicans pay $40,000 a seat to attend a Democrat dinner?
Why was Eddie Murphy there?
The chef was Wolfgang Puck, who caters to superstars in Los Angeles who prepared a Peking-style roasted duckling meal.
Dinner was served on Clooney’s basketball court where 14 tables, decorated with blue hydrangeas, were placed under a tent with a transparent roof lit with paper lanterns.
George Clooney sat with his girlfriend, Stacy Kiebler, on a table in the middle and received compliments from Obama. It was a presidential tribute Hollywood style.
Obama was quoted:
I want to thank Clooney for letting us use his basketball court. We raised a lot of money because every-body loves George. They like me, they love him. And right-fully so. He seems to occupy a constant state of grace, and uses his extraordinary talents on behalf of something truly important.
Vancouver Sun reported that Obama spent the night at a hotel and met up again with George Clooney and Tobey Maguire in the morning to play basketball before returning to Washington.

McCarthy was right — Hollywood is a nest for socialists and communists; it is just that he carried his zeal to rid the undermining of our government and educational institutions to the point of fanatic.
William Bennett, former Secretary of Education for Ronald Reagan administration wrote:

The cause of anti-communism, which united millions of Americans and which gained the support of Democrats, Republicans and independents, was undermined by Sen. Joe McCarthy … McCarthy addressed a real problem: disloyal elements within the U.S. government. But his approach to this real problem was to cause untold grief to the country he claimed to love … Worst of all, McCarthy besmirched the honorable cause of anti-communism. He discredited legitimate efforts to counter Soviet subversion of American institutions.

Do we see any redistribution of wealth here?
