|Magical Obama Bus
The Obama campaign, presently operated from a bus
, is apparently desperate for funds. Obama lawyers are suing
the Washington Promotions & Printing Inc., for infringement for selling the “O
” Obama trademark. Their complaint is that they are losing money as well as the ability to get the names of supporters. Lawyers are asking a judge in Washington for a preliminary injunction which would temporarily bar Demstore.com from selling its Obama logo merchandise. According to Demstore.com’s owner, many companies make similar products like T-shirts and bumper stickers and are not being targeted.
Maybe the website should sell Romney T-shirts and bumper stickers for spite.
Senator Dick Durbin, D-IL, stated on the CBS’ Face the Nation that Mitt Romney should be investigated concerning his personal wealth which is supposed to exceed $250 million. He stated:
He’s the first and only candidate for the president of the United States with a Swiss bank account, tax shelters, with tax avoidance schemes that involve so many foreign countries.
Huffington Postand Dick Durbincalls him the Obamacare Daddy. Durbin was focal and against the Iraq War, but only when GW Bush was president. You can thank Durbin for the oppressive tax on tobacco. He also butted heads with Bank of America. He accused GW Bush administration of being Nazi concerning the Guantanamo Bay prisoners:
If I read this to you and did not tell you that it was an FBI agent describing what Americans had done to prisoners in their control, you would most certainly believe this must have been done by Nazi, Soviets in their gulags, or some mad regime – Pol Pot or others – that had no concern for human beings.
Durbin backed the corrupt ACORN despite countless documentation and video proof of election fraud and other discrepancies. He was one of the seven Democrats that voted to continue funding ACORN, but fortunately the vote failed and ACORNno longer received fundingby the Senate. As Bill Wilsonof Americans for Limited Governmentstated:
The ACORN Housing Corporation has long been pushing the very loose-lending policies that helped destroy the housing industry. And now it has been exposed for working with prostitutes, as well. Yet, these seven Senators [Durbin] have knowingly voted to keep sending taxpayer money to a highly corrupt organization of pushers and pimps.
But this hypocrite is whining about Mitt Romney’s wealth, and worried about offshore money – when he has been involved with inside trading. I guess only devoted Democrats can obtain wealth and get away with not paying taxes or their fair share. Obama appointed a secretary of the Treasury that had a run-in with the IRS – which disappeared from the radar after he accepted the position Obama gave him.
All of this and there are still people who think Obama is the man for president. It boggles the intelligent mind.

R. Limbaughmade a profound statement against the Supreme Court decision that apparently too many Americans do not realize:
Our freedom of choice just met its death panel: the Supreme Court. Obamacare is nothing more than the largest tax increase in the history of the world. . . . What has been upheld here is fraud, and the Internal Revenue Service has just become Barack Obama’s domestic army. We were deceived. It was a stealth tax on all Americans, and nobody knew it until today, not officially.
Yet polled Americans agree with Supreme Court ruling at 80%! And the discrepancy is that 64% believe it should be fully repealed.
So many are not getting the situation – the federal government has no right within constitutional articles and amendments to involve itself in health care affairs of citizens other than ensuring they get fair trade practices, protected consumer actions, et cetera. The clause mentioning the “general welfare” of the People does not mean that government must provide welfare outright – and especially should not involve itself in private sector business – especially individual.
The IRS is as hypocritical as the Democrats … it provides no help for people who purchase their own insurance, because only employer purchased health insurance receives favorable tax treatment. Why? Because insurance companies have powerful lobbyists.
Republicans are talking about not only repealing Obamacare, but providing an undisclosed alternate program. Even they don’t get the fact that such a thing is against the limited powers of government.
What government should be doing is taking away the power of insurance companies within the lobbying entity. As much as Americans pay per month, they should be getting 100% coverage and take that coverage from job-to-job.
Insurance companies, medical institutions that pad their bills, and government red tape all make health insurance unaffordable. There are too many rules that tell us we can’t do this and we can’t do that. For example, a person cannot open an HSA at a bank without providing proof of insurance. The government expects people to pay the high premiums AND try to stash money into an interest-bearing account in order to prepare for when they need to pay hospital stays and expensive medical tests required. Imagine if you could (and we should be free to do so) if we put those expensive premiums into an HSA at our bank. If we can stay healthy for a long period of time, that nest egg would grow quite large.
Reforming the tax system would help in these matters immensely – and reduce the IRS to nothing but a modest accounting department to ensure that tax dollars go where it is supposed to go. Repeatedly the American people and economic experts have agreed that the income tax system is obtrusive, unfair, and inefficient. Yet, Congress will not initiate a well-thought of plan to fix it.
Economists state that by just reforming the tax code system alone would boost the economy – whether it be just a simple lowflat tax across the board with no deductions or paperwork involved or the proposed Fair Taxsystem which would be based upon consumption and not income. Truly a fair way to receive needed revenue to operate the government. Either one chosenwould be far better than what we are stuck with now.
This should be one of the major discussions during this presidential campaign on Romney’s part – but all we are getting is what the other guy hasn’t done or did wrong. America needs a fix, and it is going to take a carefully laid out plan that is instituted and not just talked about. That is, in itself, a problem. To provide one good example of why health care costs so much, and showing that government is the major culprit:The federal government charges a 2.3% excise tax on medical instruments plus whatever the sales tax is for state government.
