Giving Thanks to Progressive Government and Those Who Vote for Them

This should have been more appropriate to publish on Thanksgiving Day.

It is a list of things we can thank the progressive politicians and the elements of society that support political correctness, collectivism, and the idea that there should be a law governing every facet of our lives orchestrated and mandated by the federal government.
So, I guess it is a reflection of year past before welcoming the New Year …

  • We can thank the government (and the voters) for continuing the mindset that federal budget run overs and national debt is not because of runaway spending, but because the taxes are not high enough for the wealthier segment of society progressively, pay more as larger segments of the society pays less. Yet the middle class, whose economic depression progressively matches the rise of cost of government.
  • We can thank the progressive government for using taxpayer dollars in a program that kills hundreds/thousands of unborn infants per week proclaiming the rights of women to have control of their own body with no regard for the right of life. Meanwhile, the same people support and the federal government mandates draconian laws against personal decisions concerning the use of tobacco (disregard of control over their bodies) and telling people what they can and cannot eat or drink.
  • We can thank the progressive government and those who vote for them for a US dollar that is becoming unworthy and not worth the amount written on the paper as money is issued. Economic regulations orchestrated by an entity called the Federal Reserve, and not Congress of the United States as prescribed in our Constitution that is neither properly audited nor transparent in the sense of exactly WHO is in charge and what is exactly going on behind those doors of the Federal Reserve.
  • We can thank the progressive government and those who vote for them, who send their men and women to war with promises never kept. While millions and billions of government checks, given to foreign entities and peoples, while veterans receive less because of congressional chicanery in legislation and outright budget cutting of the government agency Veterans Affair office.
  • We can thank the progressive government and those who vote for them for jobs being lost due because business is going overseas. Chiefly because the US has the highest corporate tax rate in the world, as well as powerful labor unions that gouge employers directly, or paid for legislation and an expensive national health care system that has not worked well anywhere else.
  • We can thank progressive government and those who vote for them the draconian and unfair tax system that overtaxes some and under taxes others.  A system where the productive part of society continues to pay more and more for those who are unproductive and proportionately, some corporations pay less while others pay more and still others pay nothing. A system that intrudes upon the most personal right and cherished individual liberty of our choice in personal life and the income we earn incrementally stolen out of OUR income before we decide how to spend it. A system that has established a government office (IRS) who can confiscate anyone’s wealth and property before determined to be guilty in a legal trial in a prescribed court, and has become the most hated/feared agency of government in the history of the United States. A tax system that holds your money for one year,  while paying no interest or penalties, but readily charges the same to anyone who has made a mistake because of the complicated system that the progressive government created.
  • We can thank the progressive government and those who vote for them for the continual loss of property rights, an important element important in the creation of our government and nation, putting human special interest groups and a small owl ahead of the rights of personal property.
  • We can thank the progressive government and those who vote for them for the policy of not adhering to immigration laws established in order to ensure that: (1)  all entering the United States for permanent residency do not become a part of the economic problem, (2) do not introduce epidemic disease, and (3) has no criminal background or affiliation with the enemies of free nations.
  • We can thank the progressive government and those who vote for them for declaring rights of a minority while desecrating the rights of others declaring something they perceive as fairness.
  • We can thank the progressive government and those who vote for them for not securing our borders, despite passed legislation ordering it to be done, ignoring some laws, while enforcing those that were not constitutionally passed by a constitutional legislature.
  • We can thank the progressive government and those who vote for them for appointing judges and justices in the judicial system that is more interested in special interest advocacy rather than constitutional law, and who make decisions based upon foreign laws rather than US constitutional law.
  • We can thank progressive government and those who vote for them for government’s expenditure of taxpayer dollars for social and economic benefits for people who disobeyed federal law by coming to the US uninvited and without proper protocol and then complain how deep in debt the government is and unemployment is so high.
  • We can thank the progressive government and those who vote for them for an educational system that has wrestled an important aspect of any society from state authority and the people’s decisions reducing the standards and efficiency that once placed our educational system in the top ten of the world.
  • We can thank the progressive government and those who vote for them for a society that is increasingly becoming ignorant of truth and receptive to political propaganda through a media that is supposed to be For the People, not for government and private interests. Freedom of the Press (media) was not instituted so that entity could provide misinformation and delete information at their whim, thereby creating a society who only thinks the way the media and government want them to think.
  • We can thank the progressive government and those who vote for them for an educational system that is tailored to please the government controlling it. A government placed in charge of one of our most sacred aspects of any society or civilization – education. The same government that alters textbooks in our school system, under the direction of special interest groups, filling our children’s heads with prescribed ideology and discouraging intellectual discussion and presentation of new ideas and alternate thinking. [thinking out of the box]
  • We can thank the progressive government and those who vote for them whose foreign policy consists of the standard that the US must buy foreign allies, which in turn creates a false friendship and fuels the determination of our enemies.
  • We can thank the progressive government and those who vote for them for sending our military to war, not allowing military leadership the strategies and opportunities of winning it; which in turn drags the war on longer than it should have.
  • We can thank the progressive government and those who vote for them for foreign policies that concede to demands of those who are clearly enemies of the United States and all free nations, while betraying true allies’ trust and putting them in harm’s way.
  • We can thank the progressive government and those who vote for them for a Supreme Court Justice interviewed on a foreign television station in a country that has become anti-American and claiming that the United States Constitution is outdated and needs to be replaced without reprimand or demand for impeachment – violating her oath of office. Personal views and advocacies do not override constitutional law when it comes to our judiciary.
  • We can thank the progressive government, and those who vote for them for allowing Islamist Jihadists to own and operate paramilitary training camps and operations, while harassing and threatening constitutional citizen militia. The traditional militia is constitutionally legal and who organize to protect and support their communities, the local constitutional law enforcement (sheriff), protect and defend the Constitution of the United States against enemies, both foreign and domestic.
  • We can thank the progressive government, and those who vote for them, for establishing a society through their educational system who believe that entitlements are their constitutional right and their selfishness in thinking their rights are above others.
  • We can thank the progressive government, and those who vote for them, for establishing a society through their mandated educational system who believe that the word God and the concept of such a Supreme Being not allowed publicly because atheists, less than one percent of the population, objects or another segment of population objects for other reasons. In addition, that same entity and conglomerate of people of our society, disallow one religion while encouraging understanding of another, the latter having a doctrine of violence against unbelievers. All this enacted through the government-controlled education system, taken away from the parent-teacher authorities.
  • We can thank the progressive government, and those who vote for them, who promote alternate energy in the name of conservation and efficiency, yet whose bureaucracy stands in the way of the average homeowner to use wind and solar power.
  • We can thank the progressive government, and those who vote for them, for the rise in cost of products and services because of government bureaucracy and unconstitutional increasingly unlimited power.
  • We can thank the progressive government, those who vote for them and the media for people thinking like children instead of adults when it comes to society by breaking it into classes, when a constitutional republic demands a classless society.
  • We can thank the progressive government, those who vote for them and the media for a society who envies those who gain wealth from hard work and proper education, and blame their economic woes and social standing upon anyone and anything except for their own improper personal decisions of life. Those personal decisions are quickly becoming extinct as the power of government and those elite operating it and supporting it grows to where individual liberties fade and collective socialism is encouraged.
  • We can thank the progressive government, its educational system, those who vote for them, and the media in establishing a generation who no longer realize that the success of the United States was because of the individual liberties of its people and not because of the benevolence of a powerful central government. The people invented, dreamed, and enacted their goals that made America great, not the elite government entity or collective special interest groups who refuse to admit their desire to progress from a constitutional republic to corrupted democracy to democratic socialism is a real and present danger to our nation.
There is more thankful thoughts for the progressive government and company, but I believe I have made my point.
The next article will reaffirm that labor unions are an economic parasite that eventually, painfully slow, kills its host in breaking news that Hostess is economically in trouble between government interfering with what we eat and the labor unions, Twinkies may be disappearing off the shelf of your local food market.
Hey, I did not vote for a progressive government nor did I choose the GOP elite poster boy either. I want constitutional leadership, whatever political club they belong to or none at all.
We do not need “moderates” who compromise the Constitution – we need strong leadership who are not afraid to say “NO!”
