Instead of new ideas, the current bill is essentially just recycling the flawed and failed ideas of the past.
They tried amnesty in 1986. It encouraged more illegal immigrants to cross the border in hopes they could stay long enough without being deported in order for political prostitutes to give them amnesty.
Now they are doing it again.
Once amnesty is granted, it cannot be rescinded.
Senator Chuck Grassley (IA) stated on the Senate floor on June 12th …
With this bill, the American people are being sold a product. They’re being asked to accept legalization. And in exchange, they’d be assured through this legislation that the laws are going to be enforced.
How many times have we heard THAT before?
The Obama administration is waiving welfare laws in expectations this bill will pass.
Too many amendments and added paragraphs to a bill ends up like Obamacare (and the IRS code) – too many pages to read and congressional members tells us it will have to pass in order to see what is in it.
It was tried before, but it did not work. With a huge amount of tax dollars involved, the Senate should be more cautious.
