If you want to hear hypocrisy and progressive hype, check out Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell’s statement about citizens and the Tea Party movement for a constitutional republic as reported by an attendee at a conference …
McConnell said the Tea Party was ‘nothing but a bunch of bullies. And he said ‘you know how you deal with schoolyard bullies? You punch them in the nose and that’s what we’re going to do.
At his website, Senator McConnell, a member of the GOP, has a slogan that claims [Google listing]: “A proven conservative leader for Kentucky”. He has joined the Democrats in their crusade to stamp out [pun unintentional] of the Tea Party movement, even Salon, traditional leaning towards progressives, says he is the “biggest loser”. At the same time, he complains about the Democrats abolishing filibusters in the Senate for presidential nominees, except to the Supreme Court. Dubbed the “nuclear option” – Senator Harry Reid spearheaded that move which means that his party only requires 51 votes to confirm future picks by Obama. It is quite evident how badly this president has chosen, with a myriad of scandals revealed [and congressional committees doing nothing] as well as plain incompetence.
In the recent conference, McConnell named Senators Mike Lee [R-UT] and Ted Cruz [R-TX] as Tea Party conservatives and that he views as problematic.
Another source stated that denies that anything was said about Cruz, Lee or the Tea Party; but admitted there was some “discussion” about it. An aide stated something different in an email to Breitbart News. A request for a transcript or recording was refused when Breitbart News requested it and the office of McConnell refuses to comment.
McConnell is a proven RINO – not a “proven conservative leader”.
