Education, Political Correctness, and Dangerous Games in Washington

lighthouse9_animatedJoan B., Illinois sent me an email with a link to a Fox News opinion article that raises the question: Why, We the People, allow the federal government to control one of the most important aspects of our nation, any nation, any civilization? A government that has inserted progressive socialism into a government that is supposed to be based upon a constitutional republic. A government whose elected officials, for decades, has slowly ignored our constitution for various reasons of their own, and who We the People allowed to be re-elected for several obscure reasons mostly due to lessening knowledge of the workings of a constitutional republic crafted by wise men who received classical education and thought far beyond their time.

Todd Starnes was the author of that article that Joan provided the link for, addressing the fact that the progressive-liberal is always concerned about sensibilities (emotion is a tool to a socialist) while ignoring or being selective as to who is actually being offended.

back_to_schoolCase in point is a Colorado high school whose administrators turned down a request to set aside a day they wanted to set aside one day during what they call “Winter Spirit Week” in order to honor the United States, a celebration of what made America once the greatest nation in the world with classmates wearing clothes that denoted patriotic colors. The administration stated:

they didn’t want to be exclusive to any other country. And …they didn’t want to make anyone feel uncomfortable who were from other countries or immigrants.

Parents and students that Mr. Starnes interviewed about this incident asked to remain anonymous, not because they were shy, but because parents feared their children might face reprisals from liberal educators. You know, like they do in college by giving the “radical” student a failing grade if they do not conform to the progressive-liberal program.

We the People have become a nation of people that allows the media what candidates are chosen during primary elections, and that media in the mainstream is generally controlled by the liberal-progressives within a political entity whose name should be changed to the Democratic-Socialist Party of the United States. It has been so since FDR won his first presidential election. Indeed, the Republican Party establishment never pays attention to its own promised political platform or the reason for its name – not since Ronald Reagan was president. Ron Paul was a wise select for president who has worked for reform and battled the political establishment since the 1980s, and who worked closely with President Reagan and his policies.

Not to be quitters, the students presented an alternate request that the day to celebrate the United States would be called My Country Monday. That got declined, too; stated one student. As another student showed irony, which I call hypocrisy is that they are required to participate in Cinco de Mayo celebrations that is celebrated here in the US even though it has nothing to do with our nation’s history, and even then only celebrated regionally in Mexico, primarily in the state of Puebla. It is a commemoration of the Mexican army’s victory against French forces at the Battle of Puebla – it is not the state of Mexico’s official Independence Day. To Mexicans in the United States it has become symbolic in defiance by the Chicano movement and racist organizations like La Raza.

Judge Jeanine speaks about the Obama theatrical presentation of the State of the Union …

Judge Jeanine also provided follow-up on the Obamacare fiasco …

And in regards to the Obama SOTU speech itself, she asks “Just Who Are You Talking To”.

Judge Jeanine Pirro is popular with Americans who are legal citizens, believe in a constitutional republic, and who believe that any society requires a standard of moral principles and common sense values.

She is a refreshing glowing light on the Fox News channel.

Politics in Washington, DC has become nothing but a political game, a dangerous game, a competition between two traditional political clubs for dominance – at any cost. Instead of its principles and purpose being articles and amendments of the US Constitution, it is the agenda of elected officials, their establishment handlers, and personal ambitions.

This is NOT the NFL Super Bowl, Mr. President. When our government misses the mark on constitutionality and honor and integrity is replaced with corruption and cronyism – the people suffer and some die. When NFL fans’ favorite team loses the Super Bowl, they are disappointed, but have a chance next year.

With the record of this executive administration, tyranny is present and continues; and people who disagree with your policies and poor leadership, do not want to be viewed as racist – so too many, especially in Congress, are afraid to call it for what it is. The corporate-government media would not dare fully investigate or focus upon failed policies if the elected official is a Democrat; but didn’t give GW Bush a week in office before they were tearing into his actions that were not even implemented yet.

The framers of our constitution, especially Thomas Jefferson, knew the value of an educated citizenry – they made better citizens by being informed.

Every government degenerates when trusted to the rulers of the people alone. The people themselves, therefore, are its only safe depositories. And to render them safe, their minds must be improved to a certain degree. [1782, notes on the State of Virginia]

Thanks to the media, we are no longer informed because instead of being the eyes and ears of the People, it has become the mouthpiece of the progressive socialist movement.

Tyrants and socialist know the value of government-controlled education.

I think by far the most important bill in our whole code is that for the diffusion of knowledge among the people. No other sure foundation can be devised, for the preservation of freedom and happiness…Preach, my dear Sir, a crusade against ignorance; establish & improve the law for educating the common people. Let our countrymen know that the people alone can protect us against these evils [tyranny, oppression, etc.] and that the tax which will be paid for this purpose is not more than the thousandth part of what will be paid to kings, priests and nobles who will rise up among us if we leave the people in ignorance. [August 13th, 1786, letter to George Wythe]

Knowledge is PowerPathetically, a little nation like Estonia has a better rating that the United States, a state that was once a satellite state of the former Soviet Union; and thanks to the efforts of Ronald Reagan (birthday – Feb 6th) and Margaret Thatcher, the Berlin Wall came down and the communist “Iron Curtain” dissolved with it. I imagine that not many students of schools like the one aforementioned in Colorado even know where Estonia is or heard of it, because that is not what is mandated from the federal government to know. Too worried about political correctness, worried about sensibilities of a minority while the majority are to bite their tongue.

We need more citizens like students who buck against a liberal-progressive administration and certainly more informed and wisdom that Judge Jeanine generates – a judge who actually believes in constitutional law and demands its protection and implementation.

Knowledge is a primary tool in a free republic, as Thomas Jefferson wrote to James Madison in 1787:

Above all things I hope the education of the common people will be attended to ; convinced that on their good sense we may rely with the most security for the preservation of a due degree of liberty.

We the People cannot rely upon politicians to clean up their act on their own volition, because it is the responsibility of the People of any nation to ensure that their rights and liberties are preserved; a duty that affects the subsequent generations and whose task falls to each generation as the founders prescribed.

The truth is not always the same as the majority decision. – Pope John Paul II

No more lies and no more people in government like the Clintons, Obama, Pelosi, Reid, GW Bush, Nixon, Carter, etc. We the People do not like being lied to.

Steven Seagal is a fan of Russia, some say more than the United States where he has made a lot of money, and he makes comments concerning Obama policies on terrorism and media control. Here’s the interview as a side interest, with Seagal saying that Russia and US should be “best friends”, which could be true now that the Soviet Union belongs to history …

Irish MP spoke out in Irish Parliament about Obama foreign policy, an example of how the US has slipped from its role model as a constitutional republic, mainly because the US leadership has made it a practice of involving themselves in wars of others and pushing their agenda upon other nations …
