Today is December 7th, 2009 and 68 years ago, on December 7th, 1941, a devastating and treacherous attack upon American armed forces at the naval center and airfields of Pearl Harbor occurred.
It is also a day of shame for America, where three Navy SEALs who captured a most-wanted terrorist who murdered, mutilated and burned the bodies of a contracted security team now face court-martial
hearing with January to be actual court-martial proceedings – because the captured terrorist received a bloody lip and complained.
Instead of medals and time with their families for the Christmas holidays, they must defend themselves for giving a POW a bloody lip. I have not been able to attain the details as far as HOW the terrorist got a bloody lip, and why, whether it occurred while trying to subdue the prisoner, I cannot state.
Mainstream media is quite silent about this, as I pointed out in a previous article.
However, Americans should be complaining in letters to members of Congress and directly to the commander-in-chief, President Obama concerning this matter. Political correctness and the sociocrat mentality towards our uniformed members of the US armed forces has caused much grief and negativity in regards to morale, discipline and cohesiveness. If PC doesn’t belong in American society and its government, it certainly should be taboo in our military.
Military regulations and codes of honor are written for a reason and proper treatment of POWs should always be honored – whether the enemy honors any sense of humanity or not.
You can reasonably blame President Obama for this one … his administration has made a grave error by providing terrorist captives who should be regarded as prisoners of war or suspects of crimes against humanity under the jurisdiction of international and military laws – not constitutional or federal laws afforded citizens of the United States – complete with taxpayer funded defense attorneys. By using the liberal system of what has become of the judiciary system of the United States, we now have created more problems. Every prisoner of this undeclared war will be using that system to make America look bad and those that serve America faithfully, loyally and with honor.
It is a travesty upon several travesties against our nation and the men and women who serve it.
If I were the youth of today I would boycott and abstain from joining the armed forces under the rule of the present administration and any administration and government who takes the side of the enemy to the point of treason – throwing common sense completely out the window.
I beg readers to get on the wagon and be heard on this issue – and get those brave men home for Christmas and exonerated from such foolishness and be presented with medals not a court-martial.
