Myth Blaster: Mass Shooters and Assassins are Democrats

The following has been circulating the email circuit and was posted at the website of Victoria Jackson.

sherlock-holmesMyth Blaster Verdict: Some elements of truth, some false and some unsubstantiated. …

  • In 1865 a Democrat shot [John Wilkes Booth] and killed Abraham Lincoln, President of the United States. TRUE.
  • In 1881 a left-wing radical Democrat shot James Garfield, President of the United States, who later died from the wound. FALSE. The person who shot Garfield was a member of the Republican Party and believed God told him to shoot Garfield to save his political party.
  • In 1963 a radical democratic-socialist shot [Harvey Oswald] and killed John F. Kennedy, President of the United States. TRUE.
  • In 1975 a left-wing radical Democrat fired shots at Gerald Ford, President of the United States. NOT ACCURATE – Unsubstantiated. [Ford was attacked by two would-be assassins, both female, and one of them a Charles Manson follower, the other person was Sara Jane Moore with no substantial evidence she was a Democrat found]
  • In 1978, Harvey Milk, a homosexual San Francisco government supervisor and Mayor George Mascone was murdered over a political dispute with fellow Democrat Dan White. TRUE.

Myth Blaster: Recognize This Guy? – Chain Email

trayvon-martin-george-zimmerman_Miami HeraldThe Trayvon Martin shooting case is sticky enough, with the prosecution reaching for straws in order to convict George Zimmerman for Second-Degree Murder, but the morons [and racists] in cyberspace are not helping matters much. Neither has the mainstream media in the whole reporting history of the case.

Now it has gone “viral” over the chain Email circuit that the 17-year-old had tattoos and looked more like a gangster than the innocent-looking youth the media presented [next to a not so good photo of Zimmerman].

Myth Blaster: Paula Deen is a Racist

lighthouse9_animatedRUMOR: Paula Deen a restaurateur, nationally celebrated TV cook on the Food Network made a racial comment during an interview and/or on national television.

MYTH BLASTER Verdict: Way off the mark …

Paula Deen is the victim of what David Horowitz and John Perazzo call the progressive lynch mob.

Paula Deen is losing her status as the friendly Southern belle into something she is not.

Those media entities should be ashamed. There may be “Freedom of the Press” – but there ARE laws about defamation of character. It is why we do not need “hate speech” laws. If someone is wrongfully accused or disgraced in public – they have the right to sue for defamation.

Myth Blaster: Chain Email Misquotes – Breaking the Chain

State of Our Union: Election 2012 CircusThe following quotation is floating around the Internet in the form of chain email:

The budget should be balanced, the Treasury should be refilled, public debt should be reduced, the arrogance of officialdom should be tempered and controlled and the assistance to foreign lands should be curtailed, lest Rome become bankrupt. People must again learn to work instead of living on public assistance.

Myth Blaster: Ben Stein Christmas Message

The following email is circulating about attributed to Ben Stein on the subject of the Christian tradition of Christmas …

My confession:I am a Jew, and every single one of my ancestors was Jewish. And it does not bother me even a little bit when people call those beautiful lit up, bejewelled trees, Christmas trees. I don’t feel threatened. I don’t feel discriminated against. That’s what they are, Christmas trees. It doesn’t bother me a bit when people say, “Merry Christmas” to me. I don’t think they are slighting me or getting ready to put me in a ghetto. In fact, I kind of like it. It shows that we are all brothers and sisters celebrating this happy time of year. It doesn’t bother me at all that there is a manger scene on display at a key intersection near my beach house in Malibu. If people want a crib, it’s just as fine with me as is the Menorah a few hundred yards away.
I don’t like getting pushed around for being a Jew, and I don’t think Christians like getting pushed around for being Christians. I think people who believe in God are sick and tired of getting pushed around, period. I have no idea where the concept came from, that America is an explicitly atheist country. I can’t find it in the Constitution and I don’t like it being shoved down my throat.Or maybe I can put it another way: where did the idea come from that we should worship celebrities and we aren’t allowed to worship God? I guess that’s a sign that I’m getting old, too. But there are a lot of us who are wondering where these celebrities came from and where the America we knew went to.In light of the many jokes we send to one another for a laugh, this is a little different: This is not intended to be a joke; it’s not funny, it’s intended to get you thinking.Billy Graham’s daughter was interviewed on the Early Show and Jane Clayson asked her: “How could God let something like this happen?” (regarding Hurricane Katrina). Anne Graham gave an extremely profound and insightful response. She said: “I believe God is deeply saddened by this, just as we are, but for years we’ve been telling God to get out of our schools, to get out of our government and to get out of our lives. And being the gentleman He is, I believe He has calmly backed out. How can we expect God to give us His blessing and His protection if we demand He leave us alone?”In light of recent events… terrorists attack, school shootings, etc. I think it started when Madeleine Murray O’Hare (she was murdered, her body found a few years ago) complained she didn’t want prayer in our schools, and we said OK. Then someone said you better not read the Bible in school. The Bible says thou shalt not kill, thou shalt not steal, and love your neighbor as yourself. And we said OK.Then Dr. Benjamin Spock said we shouldn’t spank our children when they misbehave, because their little personalities would be warped and we might damage their self-esteem (Dr. Spock’s son committed suicide). We said an expert should know what he’s talking about. And we said okay. Now we’re asking ourselves why our children have no conscience, why they don’t know right from wrong, and why it doesn’t bother them to kill strangers, their classmates, and themselves.Probably, if we think about it long and hard enough, we can figure it out. I think it has a great deal to do with ‘WE REAP WHAT WE SOW.’Funny how simple it is for people to trash God and then wonder why the world’s going to hell. Funny how we believe what the newspapers say, but question what the Bible says. Funny how you can send ‘jokes’ through e-mail and they spread like wildfire, but when you start sending messages regarding the Lord, people think twice about sharing. Funny how lewd, crude, vulgar and obscene articles pass freely through cyberspace, but public discussion of God is suppressed in the school and workplace. Are you laughing yet?Funny how when you forward this message, you will not send it to many on your address list because you’re not sure what they believe, or what they will think of you for sending it.Funny how we can be more worried about what other people think of us than what God thinks of us.

MYTH BLASTER VERDICT: Incomplete quote with additions.
Ben Stein only wrote part of it – original sender of email added in the rest. The chain email author changed and added words within Stein’s original transcript.
Ben Stein, lawyer, author, speechwriter for Richard M. Nixon, actor (Ferris Bueller’s Day Off), and TV personality wrote, on occasion, several commentaries for the CBS Sunday Morning news program. One of them was entitled Confessions for the Holidays, aired one week before Christmas and recorded in program transcript on December 18th 2005. Presently he writes a segment for the American Spectator in a section entitled Ben Stein Diary. One of them was entitled Confessions for the Holidays, aired one week before Christmas and recorded in program transcript on December 18th 2005. …

CHARLES OSGOOD: We all have our own thoughts about the holidays. Here’s Ben Stein with his.BEN STEIN:  Here at this happy time of year, a few confessions from my beating heart. I have no freaking clue who Nick and Jessica are. I see them on the cover of People and Us constantly when I’m buying my dog biscuits. I still don’t know. I often ask the checkers at the grocery stores who they are. They don’t know who Nick and Jessica are, either. Who are they? Will it change my life if I know who they are and why they’ve broken up? Why are they so darned important?Footage of People magazine and congressional hearing …BEN STEIN: Next Confession: I am a Jew and every single one of my ancestors was Jewish and it does not bother me even a little bit, when people call those beautifully lit-up, bejeweled trees Christmas trees.
[Footage of Christmas trees)BEN STEIN: I don’t feel threatened. I don’t feel discriminated against. That’s what they are – Christmas trees. It doesn’t bother me a bit when people say ‘Merry Christmas’ to me. I don’t think they’re slighting me or getting ready to put me in a ghetto. In fact, I kind of like it. It shows that we’re all brothers and sisters celebrating this happy time of year. It doesn’t bother me one bit that there’s a manger scene on display at a key intersection at my beach house in Malibu.
BEN STEIN: If people want a crèche, fine. The menorah a few hundred yards away is fine, too. I do not like getting pushed around for being a Jew, and I don’t think Christians like getting pushed around for being Christmas. I think people who believe in God are sick and tired of getting pushed around, period. I have no idea where the concept came from that America is an explicitly atheist country. I can’t find it in the Constitution and I don’t like it being shoved down my throat. Or maybe I can put it another way. Where did the idea come from that we should worship Nick and Jessica and aren’t allowed to worship God as we understand him? I guess that’s a sign that I’m getting old, too. But there are a lot of us who are wondering where Nick and Jessica came from and where the America we used to know went to.

There are other versions circulating that have added words to the Stein commentary.
The commentary below Stein’s words also includes a quote from Billy Graham’s author (Anne Graham Lotz) was made after the September 11th terrorist attacks. It is a paraphrase.
Chain email author added Dr. Spock paragraph (his son did not commit suicide) – Dr. Spock is blamed for a misguided generation.
Another addition is about Madeline Murray O’Hare. An American atheist, she was murdered, but much about her has been misconstrued in chain email – with some elements of truth like her evilness and conning people out of money
Thanks to J. Bartelson for bringing this chain email to my attention.

Searching For Truth Since 1999 – Myth Blaster and Lighthouse Journal Anniversary

Myth Blaster®1is a registered segment of this website for examining chain email for authenticity and just plain Truth; a smaller version of websites dedicated to the cause, like: TruthorFiction, Urban Legends(original at About), and Snopes. Break-the-Chainwas once a good source, but it has been tagged by Google Internet security as to be a “suspicious” website that “may harm your computer” as of February 5th. 2
UPDATE: Break-the-Chain website closed with the following farewell message:

Thank you for visiting I’m proud to have been your source for real, reliable information you can trust about e-mail rumors and hoaxes for nearly 13 years. Since we started on this journey together, many things have changed. Social media has replaced e-mail as the vehicle of source to share information with friends and family and more and more people have learned to question everything that they see online. It is with this knowledge that I decided to close I had a really good run and made a lot of great friends who understood what it meant to “don’t want the junk.” I think all my fans and regular visitors for your support. There are still lots of sites out there that can help you find out if that claim you’ve heard is true or a hoax, but I encourage you to also ask you friends and engage them to think about what they read online.

And now to another matter

Here at Lighthouse Patriot Journal, I have endeavored to live up to my motto: Searching for Truth in a Sea of Misinformation®since 1999. Hopefully I will live long enough to see my endeavor to expand and remain on into the next decade of the 21stcentury.
I would like to take this moment to thank my readers, followers, and other occasional visitors who visit this website and the others listed on this website; or even those who drop me a line or two in an email to keep me abreast of what is happening in their lives or bits of information they wish to pass on. Sometimes they send me chain email to research for Myth Blaster®.
Southern Door County Sign [KAL Photo]
I have been blessed by a readership that is international, from many different geographical locations: from rural town in the Great Plains state of Iowa to the readers here in Wisconsin to the countryside of Upper State New York to the shorelines of California and Hawaii – and even in Alaska; 3to London, England, Ireland, Wales (maternal-side family there), and Scotland (maternal-side of family there as well); to South Africa and the island-nation of Japan; to Copenhagen, Denmark, once the central kingdom of the Vikings, who send me pics every once in a while of their beautiful country; to the Latin American nations of Brazil, Chile, and Central America to include the beautiful and friendly little nation of Belize; and our wonderful friends “Down Under” in Australia and New Zealand – all who drop me a line or comment at one of my websites and whose geographical locations are too numerous to list here.
Cave Point, Door Peninsula [KAL photo]
Some have become “Pen Pals” – three particularly from Europe across the “Big Water” – Scotland/England and Denmark; as well as a young couple in South Africa (one who is studying to be a physicist), who I have become so acquainted with these wonderful people I have offered to provide them a guided tour if they ever have a chance to visit the Door Peninsula. It would be a thrill and honor to do so.
Like the Disney song played at Disney World in one of its attractions: “It’s a Small, Small World” – the Internet has brought people from many places and walks of life. The Internet is the best thing that has happened to civilization since the Library of Alexandria 4and the classical ancient schools of philosophical thought there. The recent turmoil in the historical and wonderfully mysterious land of Egypt, making it too dangerous and distracting to visit in this moment of human history. Humans should spend more time in classic studies, knowledge, adventurous travel (here on Earth and on into the stars) rather than spend so much time, human life and energy on figuring out ways to take another nation’s real estate and exterminate each other. Sounds strange coming from an ex-combat soldier who served two tours in combat zones; but a real soldier trains for what is necessary to survive and win – but NEVER wishes for war. It is like the 2ndAmendment – better to have it and not need it, than need it and not have it.
But I digress …
Death’s Door Passage Ferry [KAL photo]
I also want to thank the sponsors and those that have been gratuitous enough to donate through my PayPal link to aid me in my endeavor to improve this and other websites, as well as possibly raise enough to fulfill my dream of a Lighthouse Journal Publishing Company, LTD here on the Peninsula. However, because of the economy – worldwide – this has reduced to a bare trickle. If you cannot afford to donate, the next time you shop at Amazon, do so through my webpage (no cost difference to you) and I will get four cents on the dollar. This helps with rising costs, like satellite-feed Internet service.
The Door Peninsula, Washington Island (separated by Death’s Door strait), and other islands; as well as the historic lighthouses that dot the coastline of Lake Michigan attracts visitors from all over America and some foreign visitors. At the local orchard, my son had an interesting conversation from two lady visitors from Russia. I myself have met visitors from eastern Europe and Scandinavia, the latter probably visiting relatives for there are many family descendants here from Germany and Scandinavia.
Old Stone Quarry, Bayshore Drive [KAL photo]
If Peninsula residents’ occupation is not farming, local services, health care, fishing industry (recreational and commercial), or the minimal manufacturing here; they depend upon the seasonal business of retail and restaurants spread about the Peninsula in the different villages and towns, as well as other recreational activities and events. Even in the winter months there are Winter Festivals, ongoing this weekend, as well as the orchards, vineyards and wineries that attract thousands from May 1stto Halloween (October 31st), during the Fall Festival period of harvesting and the Harvest Moon. Of course, there are winter sports, events, and activities here as well; however, those are usually attended to by locals.
Well, that covers my plug for the Door County Peninsula; except that if you visit, please stop in Sturgeon Bay on 14thStreet and visit the Habitat for Humanitystore and headquarters to make a purchase, just to say “Hello” or make a donation. Habitat for Humanityis a national and international endeavor to help people work their way into owning their own homes. It is a non-profit organization who, unlike welfare programs, help people help themselves. As Rick the director says: We provide a “hand up” not a “hand out– a phrase he uses on radio advertisement at our local WDOR(FM)radio station.

4 One of the Seven Ancient Wonders of the World, of which I have been blessed to visit the ancient ruins of the Temple of Artemis, Ephesus; Troy (Pergamum); Mount Olympia; and the region where the Hanging Gardens of Babylonia once stood to impress the ancient world. Unfortunately, and most disappointing, I didn’t get a chance to see Alexandria that included a Nile River boat ride south to the site of the summer palace of the pharaohs in Memphis (Yes, Memphis, Tennessee was named after it during a period in our architectural history and classical education enlightened students with that knowledge). Anyway, the trip was canceled because there was not enough bookings.

Myth Blaster: Obama Youth Email on Fright Night

Fright Night – 1985

Fright Night is here in your neighborhood … October 31st 2012, (not 2011 remake Fright Night edition) … the fear this Hallowe’en is OBAMA GETS REELECTED

Glenn Beck broadcast about BenghaziGate:
At the beginning of the presidency of Obama, his plans of what people would call “Obama Youth” being no surprise to those who know history of how socialists and communists know the value of brainwashing youth of a nation. The family unit slowly destroyed over decades, replacing common sense values and moral character with state-infused ideology by using the government-controlled education system. Marriage is no longer a sacred, traditional entity. In the following short clip, he stated this plan of a “civilian national security force that’s just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded”. To Do What?
The big deal over Romney’s 47% when this president says so much behind our backs. “It is his prerogative to share private information with his campaign donors”. [CNN] But not for Romney. He also promised to be “more flexible” when reelected to Russian president via a “hot” microphone.
Obama administration has informed the courts that the Fort Hood Massacre will not be referred to as a terrorist action.
Aaron Dykes at InfoWars quotes what Obama stated in 2008 and what he calls “Brownshirts for Homeland Security Emergency Response”:

We cannot continue to rely only on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives that we’ve set. We’ve got to have a civilian national security force that’s just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded.

Despite knowing the abuse of the Second Amendment after Hurricane Katrina disaster, Homeland Security will be in charge of FEMA Corps.

Further, greater federal control through FEMA has proved disastrously inefficient in its own right. The failures of the feds at Hurricane Katrina are legendary. Less known are other cases, such as the fires that spread across Bastrop, Texas last year. FEMA was caught preventing numerous local bonafide fire fighters and emergency responders from giving aid or helping locals.

Meanwhile, Homeland Security has been demonizing American organizations who are legal constitutional militia, not meant to be subversive, but instead a civilian force operating outside the corruption of government For the People; all the while ignoring the over 25 Islamic training camps spread across the United States and their identifiable terrorist-type training. Constitution militia is not based on racism or any other bias, but based upon constitutional law and preparing to face enemies of the United States from within or without in conjunction with local constitutional law enforcement.
The following is a picture of the FEMA Corps:
Alleged FEMA Corps “Brownshirts” – Chain Email
No Brownshirts there.
This article was initiated by a chain email that depicted that Obama and Homeland Security director has authorized the training of youth as emergency responders is only a front for “brownshirt” activity. One site link goes nowhere and the other to a dysfunctional website that covers everything from supernatural occurrences to truly bizarre conspiracy theories. [Rense] The website is officiated by a radio personality by the name of Jeff Rense. The major theme of the website is any type of conspiracy one could think of – based upon hard evidence or not. Most of the website is ads that direct one to health foods and wacky stuff that people make money on. One of the good part of the site is under CLIMATE where sources show how wrong the global warming theory is. Searching for those pictures posted on the chain email revealed nothing from this site. Another article, Voter Fraud Inevitable From Digital Elections is something I have warned Americans about since its inception. Now that is true fearful goings on.
You can’t run from evil when it lives next door.

Much more, but no mention of the FEMA Corps alleged conspiracy, as described in the chain email.

Folks, if chain email does not have viable sources – DO NOT FORWARD!  Unless, of course, you are sending it to me to verify.
Folks, we do not have to make up anything against Obama – he has supplied plenty of information against him and his associates.

Myth Blaster: Cartoon from Scotland?

It appears that bloggers need to be more careful about what they print — if they are interested in correct information. Bloggers like Sodahead (opinion section), Free Republic, and Charleston Tea Party — then it hit the chain email, like this one:

It’s not only the English who have a sense of humor.
The Scots do as well! New Antiseptic
This cartoon originated in Scotland….It looks like most of the world is laughing at our nation’s leadership!

Myth Blaster Verdict: FALSE. Cartoon did not originate from Scotland. It was created by “Dials” at TobyToon website. He was inspired by his son, according to his post. It seems that the Scots are laughing at us, but in this case, not because of Obama; but the gullibility of some and the insistence of others to post something without checking it out first — be

Myth Blaster: Netherlands to Abandon Multiculturalism

An email circulating that concerns multiculturalism and the Dutch government. It has no sources nor author of origin:
The Netherlands , where six per cent of the population is now Muslim, is scrapping multiculturalism: The Dutch government says it will abandon the long-standing model of multiculturalism that has encouraged Muslim immigrants to create a parallel society within the Netherlands. A new integration bill, which Dutch Interior Minister Piet Hein Donner presented to parliament on June 16, reads: “The government shares the social dissatisfaction over the multicultural society model and plans to shift priority to the values of the Dutch people.

In the new integration system, the values of the Dutch society play a central role. With this change, the government steps away from the model of a multicultural society. The letter continues: “A more obligatory integration is justified because the government also demands that from its own citizens. It is necessary because otherwise the society gradually grows apart and eventually no one feels at home anymore in the Netherlands.
The new integration policy will place more demands on immigrants. For example, immigrants will be required to learn the Dutch language, and the government will take a tougher approach to immigrants who ignore Dutch values or disobey Dutch law.
The government will also stop offering special subsidies for Muslim immigrants because, according to Donner: “It is not the government’s job to integrate immigrants”
The government will introduce new legislation that outlaws forced marriages and will also impose tougher measures against Muslim immigrants who lower their chances of employment by the way they dress. More specifically, the government will impose a ban on face-covering, Islamic burqas as of January 1, 2013.
Holland has done that whole liberal thing, and realized, it may be too late, that creating a nation of tribes will kill the nation itself.
READERS NOTE: Muslim immigrants leave their countries of birth because of civil and political unrest “CREATED BY THE VERY NATURE OF THEIR CULTURE.”
Countries like Holland and Australia have an established way of life that actually works, so why embrace the unworkable?
If Muslims do not wish to accept another culture, the answer is simple: “STAY WHERE YOU ARE! “
This gives a whole new meaning to the term; ‘Dutch Courage’. Unfortunately, the USA and other countries politicians don’t have the courage(YET) to do the same.
Myth Blaster Verdict: TRUE
The story came from Gatestone Institute written by Soeren Kern, dated June 23rd 2011. It’s old news and little about it has been written by US mainstream media. The text in the email copies what is written by Kern, but the original sender failed to give the author credit. The article includes information about the covering letter and the 15-page action plan.
Thomas Lifson, American Thinker, wrote a story about it on June 25th, 2011. …

This occurred just a day before a Dutch court acquitted Geert Wilders of defaming Islam by, in part, reading from the Koran. It looks as though common sense is triumphing in one of the nations which led the western world down the path of political correctness. It is hard to overstate the potential importance of this development for societies elsewhere, including the United States.

According to the Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy, Multiculturalism
is a body of thought in political philosophy about the proper way to respond to cultural and religious diversity. Mere toleration of group differences is said to fall short of treating members of minority groups as equal citizens; recognition and positive accommodation of group differences are required through “group-differentiated rights,” a term coined by Will Kymlicka (1995). Some group-differentiated rights are held by individual members of minority groups, as in the case of individuals who are granted exemptions from generally applicable laws in virtue of their religious beliefs or individuals who seek language accommodations in schools or in voting. Other group-differentiated rights are held by the group qua group rather by its members severally; such rights are properly called group rights, as in the case of indigenous groups and minority nations, who claim the right of self-determination. In the latter respect, multiculturalism is closely allied with nationalism.
Wikipedia lists the different contexts of multiculturalism in various countries: Australia, Argentina, Canada, United States, United Kingdom, Continental Europe, Bulgaria, Netherlands, Germany, Philippines, India, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Mauritius, Singapore, and South Korea.
The gist of it all is that a group of immigrants, in this case a religious group of Muslims, whose religion is Islam, immigrates to a nation and seeks to have that nation change its way of life, laws, and social traditions for the sake of the immigrating group. Assimilation is not attempted, but instead the immigrants establish pockets of their culture or take over communities. The public is especially resentful when those immigrants become militant and reveal their intent to globalize their religion through aggressive acts and infiltration of the host nation’s judiciary and political infrastructure; which the ultimate goal is to establish Sharia Law. In addition, they expect tolerance from the host nation, but they practice intolerance toward other religions and social-political systems.
In the United States the rule of thumb is simple: freedom of religion exists as part of the Bill of Rights; however, no one has the right to interfere with or against other citizens rights in the name of exercising their rights. Underground Islamic fascist groups have been established in the United States and elsewhere, which presents a real and present danger to all host nations.
In the past, the Dutch society has been “a culture of permissiveness”; despite the transgressions of the immigrants to Dutch law. The policy now is to not cave in to pressures from Muslims who will not assimilate into Dutch society, but instead intend to have Dutch society conform to their culture and Sharia Law.
Islam has a long history of conquest, persecution of other religions, and forced conversion; which began the series of Crusades and now has returned as an important and alarming issue in the western world that is primarily Christian. It is mostly due to the fact that too many Muslims expect host nations to conform and convert its established culture and traditions to their will, policies, and beliefs.

Sorting Through Myths and People in Glass Houses

The Internet is a great place for information and knowledge; however, it has its share of information with no viable sources (which means it becomes an opinion that is not factual) and just plain made-up-stuff to get the dander up on readers who don’t check it out. Chain email is another problem of spreading myths and flat-out lies.
What is happening is that some “conservatives” are becoming as moon-batty (check out Moonbatteryfor use of this term) as Michael Moore and his Hollywood supporters.

When I state that society in America must reform itself in order to reform the government, an example would be the communist movement in the United States, who, by the way, supports Barack Hussein Obama.

The people in the group pictured above don’t realize, along with the residents of Hollyweird who take the side of Islamic Fascism, is that IF America did become communist, the state would never allow someone like the person pictured below to be in public or if America fell under Sharia Law, the same person and persons in both photos would find themselves with NO freedom. …
Myths are circulating about concerning election fraud, some of it based upon truth and some not. Michele Malkin provides some facts:
FACT: Scytl is a Spain-based business that specializes in “electoral security technology” and electronic voting applications. Its cryptographic research initially was funded by the Spanish government’s Ministry of Science and Technology and later was spun off as a private-sector e-voting venture.
FACT: In January 2012, Scytl acquired U.S.-based SOE Software. SOE writes “election management” programs that assist officials with everything from “Internet voting to election night reporting and online poll worker training.”
And also provides fiction:
FICTION: According to alarmists, Scytl’s acquisition of SOE amounts to a complete takeover of America’s election system. No, not really. While SOE boasts of a presence “with 900 jurisdictions as customers in 26 states,” there is no single contract that the federal government has entered into, or could, with Scytl to count the 2012 presidential election votes. Much of the work Scytl/SOE analysts do is number-crunching and graphics software work after local and state officials have done the vote-counting.
And, the following fact is why I don’t use the computerized version of the voting polling machine and still use paper ballots:
FACT: The security risks of e-voting are still a legitimate concern. University of California at Berkeley computer science professor David Wagner wrote a critical report for the Pentagon about the privacy and accuracy shortcomings of Scytl’s military voting program in 2004 — which prompted the feds to cancel the initial program, according to PBS.
The danger of a computerized voting system is just too critical with the chance of cheating.
It is untrue that George Soros owns Scytl. There I have said it, so there won’t be a Myth Blaster article on this one – it is circulating about in the chain email I mentioned previously.
However, Soros is highly involved and has been involved in the presidency of one Barack H. Obama, alias Barry Soetoro. He has been behind, in terms of donations, to infamous organizations like ACORN(remember this scandal if you think of voting for Obama in 2012), Democratic super-PAC ($1 million) and the GOTV operation. All of which Huffington Post always denies. Truth has and will prevail.
And for the final Malkin fact:
FACT: Over the past five months, investigative journalist James O’Keefe and his Project Veritas team have exposed systemic lapses at precincts in New Hampshire, Minnesota, Vermont and Washington, D.C. The ballots of famous public figures have been forked over to complete strangers; disenfranchisement of legitimate voters is routine. While Minnesota and New Hampshire legislators have passed new voter integrity/identification laws, O’Keefe now has been targeted for investigation and possible prosecution for blowing the whistle. And Attorney General Eric Holder is striking his usual see-no-evil, shoot-the-messenger, play-the-race-card pose.
The solution to all this is to vote smart, support election integrity folks like O’Keefe and oust criminal elements from Washington and state governments.
And speaking of racial concerns, race-baiting, specifically; Chris Matthews is at it again calling the GOP chairman, Michael Steele, the Grand Wizard and his followers the “grand wizard crowd” on his MSNBC show. By the way, Michael Steele is black. Grand Wizard meaning the terminology of KKK leadership. Looking again at historical fact – members of the Democrat Party have been members of the KKK – not Republican; and it was Democrats who had a candidate for pro-slavery against the debate with Lincoln in the Douglas-Lincoln Debate. It was the Democrat Party that maintained racism in the southern states of America. It was a Republican president that not only freed the slaves, but instituted the groundwork to make slavery illegal in the United States. Yet, until recently, American black people have primarily supported the Democrat Party. That number has declined because more blacks are educated and are middle-class citizens who have realized the race-baiting, shell game played by the Democrat Party.

Chris Matthews is by no means unique among NBC’s race-baiters. After NBC was caught red-handed doctoring George Zimmerman’s 911 call to a police dispatcher, in an effort to make him out to be a racist, Steve Capus, president of NBC’s news division, said it was “a mistake and not a deliberate act to misrepresent the phone call.” That’s a baldfaced lie, for it’s almost impossible to make such a mistake. Furthermore, the producer who allegedly was fired remains a secret. When Texas Gov. Rick Perry referred to our national debt as a “big black cloud that hangs over America, (a) debt that is so monstrous,” MSNBC’s Ed Schultz said, “That black cloud Perry is talking about is President Barack Obama.” Matthews chimed in to say that Perry’s vision of federalism is “Bull Connor with a smile.” … While appearing on MSNBC, Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter referred to Trayvon Martin’s death as an “assassination.” Nutter had better worry about the 118 “assassinations” in Philadelphia so far this year. To their own detriment — and that of the nation — black people are being used to further the liberal big-government agenda. Black people have been misled to think that their problems are with white people and government and that black politicians are the solution. There’s not a speck of evidence supporting either vision — despite the election of a white African as president.

The Democrats, Progressives, Sociocrats or whatever are the ones who are actually racist – because they use ethnic groups for their own political gain, fodder, and propaganda.
And the political cartoon by Henry Payne is great, depicting Hillary Clinton’s decision to throw a blind dissident to the Chinese communist wolves:
Of course, moon-batty folks can be found on both sides of the political fence, but they are more outrageous and outlandish when it comes down too facts. More often than not, those criticisms and accusations made by the political left, the progressive-socialists, they have committed themselves or worse. We have to select our sources carefully on the Internet, and even at this location, I expect readers to check me out. That is the way it should be. Not like Huffington Post always taking one side, right/wrong or not factual.
The old saying goes: “Those who live in glass houses shouldn’t throw rocks” – Democrats are in a completely glass house.
